After playing with the xbox360 controller, I have to admit the playstation3 dualshock did not feel totally comfortable in my hands. The triggers are especially annoying, being recessed and pulled back into the controller. I therefore ordered the gioteck triggers from play.com (GBP 3.50) the other week, and today they arrived. The design is stupidly simple, just two plastic triggers that clip on the L2 and R2 buttons. They fit very snugly with a satisfying CLICK and seem to be totally locked to the triggers even when pressed hard down. Colour and texture is similar to the original dualshock.
Put simply, I don’t understand why Sony didn’t make the controller like this to begin with. With the triggers in place your index fingers rest on the triggers much like gun triggers (or like the x360 controller) and makes it easier to shoot, accelerate and avoid your hands becoming grim, twisted bird hands. Highly recommended.
